WELCOME

A sucessful bungee night and so it begins... NEW EVENT.... and with only £9,000 to go
The event willl take place on Market Hill on Friday 22nd September from 17.30 to 22.30. We'll have a few concessions ( Hot Dogs, Ice Creams etc). There'll be music etc. Jumpers can go in fancy dress etc if they want too. Each jumper must raise at leats £75.00 sponsorship to jump. You can travel up in the cage for a measly £3. We'll need some stewards (Thanks Tony Baldwin ...the first volunteer) . This is going to be a really exciting and fun packed event. The first to jump is likely to be the famous Abi DS who had alraedy got £250 sponsorship. Lets all get behind this event. The slogan is "Fancy a Jump on the Hill" altyhough if any one has a better idea lets hear it. Sponcership forms can be obtained from the crown, just speak to Roy for details.
This could be the final event needed to finish the skatepark funding so dig deep and sponcer people big amounts and remember to turn up and show your support, o and spend spend spend.

LATEST NEWS

"£20,000 more pounds for the skatepark pledged yesterday thanks to Tim Smee's application to the Foundation for Sport and the Arts (www.thefsa.net)... great news"

"Um... at last night's SP mtg it was agreed to give you guys a 15 minute slot at the Annual parish Meeting - date yet to be confirmed (May?). Tim has some good stuff on CD which can be projected on to big screen - video clips, design for Fram SP etc. Maybe some ideas will come out of that meeting/discussion - meanwhile we will put our thinking caps on.
Awaiting replies from a couple of funders still, more applications will go in at the beginning of the new financial year in April. Eileen (town clerk) has found someone who will kindly quality check laying down of tarmac pad .
Chairman Steph"

" The Skate Park sub committee met last night made up of members of the Skate Park Appeal Group and councillors. All still on track & funding applications still going in. Its a bit of a headache tho as some funders only give a short time for the money to be spent so applications can't go in too early and they have to be co-ordinated even tho its not always clear how long the funders will take in coming to a decision. So a bit of work to be done beore the next meeting at end of Feb.
Chairman Steph "

BACKGROUND

The town of framlingham has wanted a skatepark from the time of closure of the old poorly constructed one,but has struggled with this until recently.

Now with the help of some dedicated people the project is starting to lift off and is a looking at a promising completion date of summer 2006.
